Artist Hides Blank Check In Gallery To Draw Attention

English artist Tomas Georgeson has thought of an ingenious way to attract people to visit the local Milton Keynes Gallery—by hiding a blank check of US$12,600 somewhere in the gallery.

It was a desperate attempt by Georgeson to raise local interest in the gallery.

The amount in the blank check is also “pretty much all the money” the artist has left; he also assures that the check wouldn’t bounce.

Georgeson has also done an excellent job in hiding the check, since even the gallery staff were not able to find it.

People who have come to the gallery to try their luck have been tipped by the staff that the check is not found “in” or “behind” any of the artworks.

The hunt for the check is ongoing until 1 March, when the check expires.
