German inventors Christoph and Hendrik Meyl of Gemodo Coffee, along with design studio Lunar Europe, have created an espresso maker that works in the microwave.
Called ‘Piamo’, the coffee maker consists of a cup, water chamber, filter inlay and filter cap.
All users have to do is to fill the water chamber with water; insert an espresso pad or ground coffee in the filter; connect the two components and stack them on the cup; and place it in the microwave.
While in the microwave, the heat pressure and steam built up in the water chamber forces the water to run through the coffee, to create the shot of espresso in your cup.
After 30 seconds in the microwave, a fresh cup of espresso would be ready for your consumption.
