‘Selfless Portraits’ is a collaborative art project where strangers across the world draw each other’s Facebook profile pictures.
Started by San Francisco-based artist Ivan Cash and New York-based chief creative officer Jeff Greenspan, they hope to “bridge the gap between technology and humanity by encouraging small, creative gestures between strangers across the globe”.
To have your profile picture drawn by a total stranger, simply upload a picture onto the website; to receive the finished portrait, you must return the favor by drawing a randomly assigned person’s profile picture.
Once completed, your hand drawn portrait will be added to an online gallery for the world to see.
