Most health tech tracking wearables are bulky and inconvenient to put on, startup company MC10 Inc is one of the many companies that have been developing a product that is sleeker and more discreet to use.
The ‘Biostamp’ is a clever adhesive device that is thinner than a band-aid and the size of two postage stamps, which can be pasted onto any part of the body to “monitor temperature, movement, heart rate and more, and transmit this data wirelessly back to patients and their clinicians”.
Another biotech company Corventis has also created a similar adhesive concept that monitors heart arrhythmia.
Although these devices are still in their developing stage, these could possibly be future medical instruments to save patients from life-threatening situations.
