There are plenty of inspiration for your travel bucket list on the internet, but this Moscow-based Instagrammer’s playful—and at times, thrilling—photo project would not only make you wish to see the places that he has traveled to, but also to do something unconventional at these destinations.
According to photographer Anton Charushin, the owner of Instagram account “@stolbyshkin”, he started posting pictures of himself performing headstands without the support of his hands at the places he visited on his travels because he does not want to take “the same old ‘me-and-something-beautiful-in-the-background’ photos”.
The former breakdancer started the project about a year and a half ago—he states that he only needs a small flat space for his head and a friend to capture the shot. Since then, he has posed on roofs, in castles and cornfields, among other interesting places.
Follow Charushin here—or do your own hands-free headstands and post them under the hashtag “#stolbyshking”.
