Like New York-based artist Maude White’s paper-cut illustrations, Berlin-based artist Max Gärtner creates stunning paper-cut animals that dazzle with their intricacy.
He carefully slices spray-painted paper to form amazingly detailed cut-outs of tigers, jaguars and eagles. Featuring bold, curvy lines that twist and contort to mimic the textures of fur and feathers, they resemble ink line drawings at first glance.
