You can always count on the Japanese to come up with creative and wacky ads for the most mundane of products; just check out this over-the-top ad for a shrimp frying gadget.
The latest ad to come out of the Land of the Rising Sun is this ridiculously fun commercial for non-stick FlavorStone pans carried by UK-based mail-order retailer Thane Direct.
The ad opens with a line of 100 girls dressed in French maid outfits passing a pancake along using their non-stick pans. The pancake gradually cooks as it moves from pan to pan, turning an appetizing golden-brown shade.
As the ad progresses, the pancake descends a flight of stairs to the living room before being thrown to a balcony upstairs. Along the way, some of the maids execute somersaults, flips and twirls while keeping the pancake air-borne in an impressive display of choreography.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if all cookware ads were as fun as this?
