Using a similar idea put forth by ‘The Emoji Translation Project’, this adorable spot by Belgian agency Happiness Brussels, titled ‘An Emoji Crush’, uses ideograms to publicize a message from parents of road victims.
The ad starts off unveiling a seemingly lighthearted story, only to end in a car crash.
The minimalistic approach helps to engage audiences and couldn’t be more timely given emoji’s diffusion into marketing. Previous moves have been made by Instagram, McDonald’s and Foot Locker.
