In a recent interview with the Financial Times, Apple's Senior Vice President of Design Jonathan Ive confirmed that the luxury editions of the Apple Watch will come in leather boxes that will also function as magnetic charging docks.
This is a move towards smart packaging and it shows that Apple is addressing customer's aversions to the unsightly, inconvenient mess of cables that we use to charge our devices—this idea is also reminiscent of IKEA's furniture that charges mobile devices wirelessly.
