An Alternative To Plastic: Wooden LEGO Bricks

Japanese designers at Mokurukku have created a set of beautiful “knock-off” LEGO bricks that are made from maple and birch.

Carefully crafted to be stackable with regular plastic LEGO bricks, they can be incorporated into any of your LEGO projects for an interesting wood-meets-plastic look.

Available for US$32—a reasonable price for these lovely bricks—on online handcraft market Iichi, they come in a sack of 50 and will make a brilliant gift for any LEGO fan.

We think they will go nicely with these wood-carved LEGO figures.
