Artist Creates Mini Jackets Out Of Feathers

London-based English artist Jane Edden has created a series of miniature feather jackets.

Entitled ‘Flying Jackets’, the series features sculptures each fabricated from hundreds of tiny feathers of game birds, supplied by her local butcher.

Based on the role of feather in human adornment evident in tribal, sacred, ritual, military and fashion settings—Edden’s collection explores “an intersection between avian and human”, and investigates our attitudes towards nature and intention behind consumption of natural materials.
