Ottawa-based Canadian photographer Daniel Picard has created an incredibly realistic collection of pictures that depict action figure toys in the real world entitled ‘1:1 Toys’.
Made to look life-sized in these photographs, the action figures were captured in various real-life scenarios—from the playful to the deadly serious—which enhance the illusion that they are alive.
Using action figures of well-known pop culture characters like Batman and Stormtroopers, Picard shoots all of the toys in the real world before retouching them on the computer.
The resulting images are both imaginative and well-executed, bringing the viewer into a virtual world where action figures exist like regular people.
