British Airways collaborated with Ogilvy UK to install digital billboards placed in strategic locations next to roads near the airport.

The interactive billboards feature a child pointing towards the sky, and only appear when an actual plane flies overhead. This was made possible with custom-built surveillance technology that can detect planes flying overhead. The billboards also display the flight number, and where the plane is bound for.

The creative digital ads are part of British Airway’s “Magic of Flying” campaign that aims to remind people of the wonder of flying.
