With so many products crowding the shelves at the supermarket these days, it takes a little something extra for a product to catch our eyes—and that is precisely what Seattle-based graphic designer Lacy Kuhn has done with her unconventional packaging design for a new line of breakfast cereals.
The National Cereal Corporation is launching the Heartland line, which celebrates breakfast cereals as an all-American food—each flavor in the collection would be named after a state’s nickname.
The pilot product is the “Beehive Honey Squares”, named after Utah. It is packaged in a rounded can with a transparent rectangle set in it—cleverly illustrating a bear around this see-through space, Kuhn manages to make it look as though the furry mammal is stuffing his mouth full with the delicious cereal.
We are sure that this would stand out among the generic cereal boxes—view more images of this fun packaging design below.
