Grandparents Emulate Their Grandkids’ Drawings Of Them In Quirky Photographs

Most grandchildren share a special bond with their grandparents—they believe that their grandparents are capable of almost anything. Photographer Yoni Lefévre photographs grandparents through the lens of a grandchild, showing how these grandparents are domestic superheroes that are full of life and love.

For her project titled ‘Grey Power’, Lefévre recruited four children aged 10-11 and had them draw their grandparents. The children portrayed their grandparents as multi-tasking, nurturing and athletic individuals, without the slightest hint of the hindrances of old age.

Lefévre worked with photographer Nick Bookelaar to dress the grandparents up exactly as their grandchildren had depicted them, turning their drawings into real-life photographs. Check out the endearing series here.
