A ‘Transformers Park’ In China With Amazing Life-Sized Replicas Made Of Junk

There is an ordinary scrapyard in the Shandong province of Eastern China that has become quite the tourist attraction.

The draw? More than 20 life-sized Transformers replica statues. It was Li Hung, a 21-year-old PR and Marketing student and part-time employee that first came up with the idea of making something interesting from the scrap around him. He said, “I thought if people could see something spectacular made from junk, it would highlight what we do here and we could get more customers”.

It did catch the eyes of passers-by, and soon his colleagues started pitching in, getting creative with the designs, using scrap material they found suitable. The tallest statue is over 60 meters in height and weighs more than 5 tons.
