San Francisco is a lot more than just the Golden Gate Bridge, you will find out in author and artist Wendy MacNaughton’s new book entitled Meanwhile in San Francisco.
It is a whimsical book full of her signature watercolor illustrations that take readers on a candid but lighthearted foray into the city, introducing them to its people, and the unique traits that make San Francisco, San Francisco.
In it, you will learn how to identify ‘Mission Hipsters’; who live in the Mission District well known for the arts, music and festival scene, by their dressing and vibe. It also tells them the names of the bisons that roam Golden Gate Park.
There are also charming little snippets documenting conversation exchanges and typical things that residents say that MacNaughton happened to overhear at busy road intersections, and what a typical day in the life of a bus driver is like.
If you’d like, the book can be purchased at Amazon/a> for US$11.98.
