Comic: How Parents Can Make A Difference In A Creative Child’s Life

Filmmaker and writer Kevin Smith has illustrated a comic that shows us how parents can play a big part in shaping a creative child’s future.

Titled ‘It costs nothing to encourage an artist’, Smith’s comic shows the many positive possibilities that could happen if an aspiring artist had been encouraged by their parents since young.

According to Smith, “a pat on the back to an artist now could one day result in your favorite film, or the cartoon you love to get stoned watching, or the song that saves your life,” but discouraging an artist will make sure “you get absolutely nothing in return, ever”.
