British artist Alex Chinneck, who is known for his quirky creations, has unveiled his new work—a two-storey house made from wax.
Called ‘A pound of flesh for 50p’, it was built using 8,000 paraffin wax bricks and has already started to melt due to heating devices. Chinneck’s work is meant to celebrate the history of an old candle-making factory located in the same area.
The house is located on Southwark Street in London and will be on display till 18 November 2014. It is also part of Merge Festival 2014.
