Leica has unveiled a new ad that recreates 35 famous photographs from the past 100 years.

Titled ‘100’, the ad features famous photographs like Robert Doisneau’s The Kiss at City Hall and Annie Leibovitz’s picture of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

It also makes the rather bold statement that though some of the most iconic images may not have been taken with the brand’s cameras, they came about “because of the Leica”.

The spot was created by Brazilian agency F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi to mark 100 years of Leica cameras, and the opening of the Leica Gallery in São Paulo.
