Photographer Danny Cooke has shot a haunting video of the city of Pripyat in Ukraine, which was abandoned after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986.
Titled ‘Postcards from Pripyat, Chernobyl’, the video was filmed with a camera mounted on a drone, making it the first time the area has been captured from a unique vantage point.
Cooke took the video while on assignment for 60 Minutes.
“There was something serene, yet highly disturbing about this place. Time has stood still and there are memories of past happenings floating around us.”
