Switzerland-based apelab is a specialized design studio that has created IDNA, a prototype for spatial storytelling using a tablet device such as an iPad.

Spatial storytelling is a new and interactive way of telling your stories digitally by meshing it with the physical space.

IDNA is the first story deployed on this prototype. Each scene was first designed from a 360-degree point of view, so that the user can shift their iPad in any manner and it would still be a seamless interactive experience,

This story also allows the user to focus on certain angles or characters as they move their iPad, causing the film to take a different path.

This brings the user into a new level of sensitivity and its affects to a particular character or a particular event, with 3D sound that is also sensitive to the body's orientation.
