Those who cannot get enough of coffee will be delighted to find Enrico Maltoni and Mauro Carli’s encyclopaedia which details the history of this drink, as well as some of the quirkiest coffee-making machines that have appeared throughout history.
Called “Coffeemakers: Macchine da Caffe”, this 776-page tome contains 2,700 images, 20 advertising postcards, 55 images of original patents, 60 technical drawings, all of which chronicle 400 years of coffee-making history.
The two years of research certainly shows in the book’s commentary, which is written in both English and Italian, and those who would like sneak preview can flip through these pages on their website.
