You Can Now Grow A New Nose On Your Forehead

If you ever find yourself needing a new nose to replace your original, a new revolutionary transplant procedure would let you grow one out of your forehead—as seen in the above picture of 22-year-old Xiaolian, from Fuzhou, Fujian province, China.

To grow a new nose on your forehead, skin tissue expander would first be added. The tissue would then be cut into the shape of a nose, and cartilage taken from your ribs would be planted into the new nose.

After about nine months of people telling you that “there’s something on your forehead”—when the nose is done growing—it can then be transplanted to replace your old nose.

Hopefully, customization can be done for various nose shapes—and maybe in the future, we could see other organs being grown from our forehead (without affecting our foreheads, of course).

What do you think—would you grow a new nose from your forehead?
