Written and drawn by illustrator Cat O’Neil, Returning Home is a graphic novel that explores having two identities.
The book chronicles O’Neil’s trip to her mother’s native home in Hong Kong, as it is her return to the city for the first time in ten years. There, she explores differences in culture and heritage, leading her to question who she is, as well as the notion of home.
Funded by the Arts Council of England, this project will also be showcased at the Coningsby Gallery, London from 11 to 16 August 2014.
