Faces Of People In Street Photos Replaced With Those From Famous Paintings

After facing several ethical and legal issues with his work, photographer Aref Jdey started on a quirky project that allowed him to avoid dealing with such sticky issues whenever he shoots photos of people in public.

In ‘Addendum’, Jdey took photos of people with his Leica X2 camera before using Photoshop to swap their faces with those from famous paintings.

He then processed the edited photos in Nik Silver Efex to give it a vintage vibe, resulting in an amusing series of random people with mismatched heads—while some seemed to match the body language of its new “owner” pretty well, others looked pensively and artfully into the distance.

Check out Jdey’s work below, or follow him on Tumblr to get more updates.
