London-based journalist Elisa Roche not only loves snacking on bananas—she seems to enjoy creating wonderful paintings on the yellow fruit too.
Known as @
funwithfruit on Instagram, Roche uses ballpoint and gel pens to create her paintings directly on the bananas, illustrating fun characters, scenes and patterns that complement the fruit’s curves and edges.
Sadly, Roche’s artworks do not last long—she usually discards each painted banana peel once she has eaten them, saying that “If there are any scientist out there who can tell [her] how to preserve them, [she'd] be intrigued.”
