‘London Is Changing’ is a public art project started by communication design lecturer Rebecca Ross that explores the reasons why people migrate to and out of the English capital.
Through its website, it invites people to share the stories for their migration.
Most people cite raising costs as their reasons for leaving, while others said that they were relocating for better job opportunities or a different environment.
These messages and stories are displayed on billboards located in the center of the city for members of the public to read—with the intention of facilitating “discussion about the impact of economic and policy changes on the culture and diversity of London’.
The project is expected to run throughout 2015. To find out more, please click here.
