In New York, A Mirrored Infinity Room That Makes You Feel Like You’re In Space

For the David Zwirner Gallery in New York, eccentric Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama has debuted the exhibition ‘I Who Have Arrived In Heaven’.

Part of the exhibition features the ‘Mirrored Infinity Room – The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away’, a room that makes visitors feel like they’re in space.

The immersive installation is made up of a dark and quiet room with mirrors as walls, a myriad of LED lights suspended at various lengths from the ceiling, and a shallow pool of water as part of the floor.

Akin to stars, the lights flicker away to give its occupant a surrealistic feel, as if they’re alone in the galaxy.
