US artist Marlin Peterson has created a large-scale mural of two giant Opiliones arachnids—commonly known as ‘Daddy Longlegs’ or ‘Harvestmen’—on the roof of the Armory at Seattle Center.
He started by creating models of the spiders and digitally planning his entire work process. The impressive two-dimensional mural was given a trompe l’oeil effect by adding shadows to its subjects.
