Italian designer Umberto Dattola modified a series of antique wooden furniture for the taller-than-average human being.
‘EVNI’ is a collection of surreal, towering furniture that looks like something out of Alice in Wonderland.
To create the series, Dattola took old antique pieces and modified them with long, gangling legs—to create these expressive oversized pieces that seem as if they have a life of their own, and have the ability to walk away.
“What, of our passions, remain in the object during our life? Can we consider that some objects follow us during our entire life, absorbing our passions, moments of happiness, and moments of sadness?” Dattola told leslieseuffert. “The question is: are we sure that all our sentiments pass without any influence around us?”
