Connecticut-based embroidery artist Alaina Varrone is interested in telling stories through her work.
In this series, Varrone uses her body as reference in coming up with these erotic poses for her embroidery—in some cases, the scenes depicted were more disturbing than arousing.
Each piece is autobiographical in nature and is, according to her, “part fantasy, part memory”, as she deals with a break-up.
