Thought-Provoking, Visually Striking Jewelry Made Of Credit Cards

New Jersey-based artist and metalsmith Kristal Romano has created a thought-provoking jewelry collection with cut-up credit cards that questions society’s perception of value and money.

Fascinated with cultural beliefs about value and material possessions, she crafts plastic credit cards into the faceted shape of diamonds and use them to adorn wire-frame rings and necklaces.

Taking care to make sure that the famous brand names and logos of credit companies like Mastercard, Visa and American Express remain visible on these unusual trinkets, the “Commodities” collection is not just statement-making accessories, but will also make its wearers reflect on the way they spend money.
