A Humorous, Insider’s Look At The Job Of A Sound Artist For Porn Films

[Click here to view the video in this article]

Grant Meyers is a foley artist for the erotica film industry—he is in-charge of the non-digitized sounds in porn.

He is also a fictional character, played by Will Stephen, in a spoof video introducing viewers to the behind-the-scenes sound production of porn movies.

While tongue-in-cheek, the under four-minute-long short titled ‘Labor of Love’ inspires people to do their best in their jobs.

Meyers said, “You know, a lot of people asked me, ‘You do erotic films, why are you working so hard to get a recording of a plastic bag?’”

And his answer can best be encapsulated by his last lines in the video, “How many people do you meet who get to say that they can honestly get up in the morning and do what they love? Me.”

Playful Artworks Show The Mischievous Nature Of A University Student

Polish artist Paweł Fabjański and set designer Zuza Słomińska, had created a series of playful sculptures, entitled ‘untitled’.

The duo transformed the empty facilities of Lodz university during the student's summer break, to create temporary installations around the school—they pushed their creativity to the next level, by limiting themselves to only using items found around the premise.

From stacked pencils, to chairs joined together with reusable adhesive, and crushed hand towels arranged neatly in the toilet, these art installations aptly portrays the mischievious characteristics of a student's life.

Fun, Minimal Illustrations That Celebrate The Achievements Of Famous People

We have previously featured the work of Kapil Bhagat, whose typographic posters paid tribute to scientists. Now, he has come up with a series of illustrations that celebrate the achievements of famous people.

Some of the featured personalities include Nelson Mandala, who fought to end Apartheid, and William Shakespeare for his witty one-liners in his plays. We wonder if Bhagat will celebrate the women who have also contributed greatly to society.

Have a look at some of these illustrations below, or head on over to Bhagat’s Tumblr blog to view the rest.

Whimisical Photographs Of Children Taking Naps Outdoors

French photographer Alice Lemarin imagines how children could turn quaint urban spaces into lovely dreamscapes in her project, ‘Sleeping’.

In her project, various children were pictured in deep sleep with their heads propped against a pillow in urban spaces. Her photos were all treated in soft hues, adding on to the theme of childhood dreams and innocence.

Her subtle styling touches make her photos a real visual treat—she often matched the children’s outfits and pillows with their surroundings, making it seem as if the urban spaces they were pictured at intertwined with their dreams.
