Adobe’s ‘Brush CC’ App Turns Your Photos Into Digital Custom Brushes

We previously featured Adobe’s new ‘Shape CC’ app that turns your smartphone photos into illustration-ready vectors.

Another product that caught our attention is its ‘Brush CC’ app that turns photographs into digital custom brushes.

Simply place an object against a white background and take a picture of it, or choose a photograph from your camera roll. You can adjust the size and constrast using sliders, and turn it into a custom brush.

Choose from different styles like ink, painterly strokes, graphic, organic and photorealistic. A live preview lets you see how your brush evolves, and the app’s precise controls ensure images are refined.

You can sync your brush creations to Adobe’s Sketch app, Photoshop and Illustrator with Creative Cloud.

Find out more about the ‘Brush CC’ app and download it for free from the App Store.
