An article by The Wall Street Journal has revealed that popular fast-food chain McDonald’s will be launching a new slogan in 2015.
According to the article, the new “Lovin’ Beats Hatin’” slogan will not be replacing the company’s longtime “I’m Lovin’ It” catchphrase. Instead, it “seeks to give it [a] broader marketing heft around the world”.
Sources familiar with the matter also added that the new slogan hopes to “spread happiness in the face of Internet hate”.
This move comes after McDonald’s reported one of its “worst quarterly profit declines in years”. The company hopes that with the new slogan, it can reinvent its image and adopt new marketing strategies.
