Adorable Miniature Sculptures Of Bears And Pandas Created With Grated Radishes

These miniature sculptures of polar bears and pandas soaking in a “hot bath” are not only adorable—they are completely edible too.

Created by Tokyo-based Kiminori Kono, these food sculptures, made with grated daikon radish and bits of seaweed, are served in a hot pot dish filled with meat and assorted vegetables.

Typically served in Japan during winter, Kono’s creative take on the hot pot dish sure looks like a warm and welcoming treat.

Check out Kono’s wonderful creations with the daikon radish below—photos and recipes of his edible food sculptures are also available in his recently released cookbook, Grated Daikon Art.
