Artists Create Illustrations Of Umbrellas To Support Hong Kong’s Protests

In light of the ongoing pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong, some artists have posted photos of their own “symbols of resistance” online via the hashtag #UmbrellaRevolution.



The protests were dubbed as the “Umbrella Revolution” due to the prevalent use of umbrellas by the protesters as they protected themselves from the police’s tear gas and pepper spray.



A handful of artists posted their illustrations of these umbrellas, together with elements of the “yellow ribbon”, to symbolize their unity and resistance towards the current situation.
