Following the recent false rumor of his arrest, street artist Banksy proved to the world that he is still painting on the streets, with a new work published on his website.
The mural was painted on a building’s wall in Bristol, where the artist resides—it pays homage to Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring.
Cleverly using the building’s alarm bell as an earring for his painting, he named his version of the art piece ‘Girl with a Pierced Eardrum’.
