Large, bountiful breasts aren’t something you see everyday on the roads, but that’s exactly what some motorists in Moscow got an eyeful of.
A Russian mobile advertising agency created ads featuring a pair of hands cupping a well-endowed bosom with the words “They attract”. They were meant to promote the usage of trucks as ad spaces.
The ads were placed on 30 roving trucks that hit the Russian capital’s streets, and the magnetic power of the mammary glands proved too hot to handle for some drivers.
According to the Daily Mail, the ads caused 517 traffic accidents in a single day.
“I was on my way to a business meeting when I saw this truck with a huge photo of breasts on its side go by. Then I was hit by the car behind who said he had been distracted by the truck. It made me late and left my car in the garage, and although I am insured I am still out of pocket,” said motorist Ildar Yuriev.
The trail of devastation came to an end after police patrol cars rounded up the trucks, but not before irate motorists affected demanded compensation.
A spokesman for AdvTruck, the company that ran the ads, issued this statement by way of apology.
“We wanted to draw attention to this new format with this campaign. In all cases of accidents, the car owners will receive compensation costs from us that aren’t covered by their insurance.”
