London restaurant Honky Tonk, in partnership with Groupon, has created the “world’s most expensive burger” to celebrate the sale of Groupon’s five millionth food and drink voucher.
The ‘Glamburger’ contains the following ingredients: Kobe Wagyu beef, New Zealand venison, Canadian lobster, maple syrup-coated bacon, black truffle brie, beluga caviar and a hickory smoked duck egg. They are stacked between a gold leaf coated brioche bun that is laced with Japanese matcha and cream mayonnaise, garnished with mango and champagne jus and sprinkled with grated white truffle.
The mouth-watering burger costs a whopping US$1,800, and contains 2,618 calories. As part of a publicity stunt, Groupon will be giving away one burger free.
