Measuring at approximately 23-meters-high, 30-meters-wide and 135-meters-long, the gigantic wooden ‘Noah’s Ark’ by Johan Huibers is the closest to the original Ark in terms of dimensions, and cost an estimated US$1.6 million to build.
Inside the Ark, there are displays of fake animals as well as two amphitheaters to hold events. Presentations and showcases on Noah’s history are also available on-board.
Despite its ability to float on water and sail, Huibers has said that, “this time the Ark is not meant to save people from a global flood as Noah did 4,000 years ago, but to tell people that there is a God who loves us, and that He has a plan for our lives”.
The ark is now opened to the public with admission details available here.
