Strati, The ‘World’s First 3D-Printed Car’, Takes Just 44 Hours To Print

Fancy taking a spin in a 3D-printed car?

Created by Arizona-based company Local Motors, the ‘Strati’ has been dubbed as the “world’s first 3D-printed car”. It took 44 hours to manufacture, and has 49 parts.

Most of the two-seater car’s parts, such as the chassis and body, are printed with “carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic”, save for mechanical components such as the battery, motors, and wiring.

The fully functional battery-powered car can also travel up to 50 miles per hour.

According to Mashable, you can buy the car next year at an estimated cost of $18,000.
