Dutch social designer Annet Bruil has designed a simple visual aid that helps people who are trying diet with portion control.
Her design, the ETE plate, helps provide an easy way to get people eat healthier.
Bruil discovered that portion control was a problem for many dieters. Thus, she designed a plate with sections to show recommended portion sizes for vegetables, protein, and starches like rice or pasta.
ETE plates are manufactured in the Netherlands, by a social enterprise that employs people with physical or mental disabilities, as Bruil wants the plate to benefit both the people who use it, and the people who make it.
