“Every five minutes a child dies as a result of violence. There’s no vaccine. There’s only you.”
With that sobering message, charitable organization UNICEF UK created this ad as a grim reminder that violence against children is very real and they need our help.
Titled ‘A Vaccine for Violence’, the ad opens with a little boy sporting a bruised face getting a pharmacy prescription for gang violence. He also noticed that there were other drugs for rape, slavery, war and murder.
Unfortunately, these all turned out to be a figment of his imagination.
The ad then concludes by urging viewers to act on putting a stop to the violence by visiting its website.
UNICEF wrote, “UNICEF vaccinates over a third of the world’s children. But there is no vaccine for violence. And there never will be.”
