As the saying goes, sex sells, and the Musée d’Orsay in Paris has taken the idea rather literally.
In a bid to promote its new exhibition ‘Sade. Attacking the Sun’, it has created an ad featuring a mass orgy.
Directed by video artists David Freymond and Florent Michel, the 52-second video shows a sea of naked human bodies writhing in rhythm to music.
As the video progresses and the pace quickens, the camera zooms out to reveal the bodies spelling out the word “SADE”.
The exhibition is billed as a homage to the Marquis de Sade, a French aristocrat, writer and revolutionary who was known for his liberal views on sex.
It is currently running from now til 25 January 2015.
