To demonstrate “the phenomenon of water surface tension in microgravity”, astronauts Alexander Gerst, Steve Swanson, and Reid Wiseman filmed a cool video in space with a GoPro encased in a giant floating bubble.
Taken this past summer, the video shows the trio having a blast with the watery orb as it floats around in zero gravity, showing that science can be fun and wacky.
Two versions were made, a regular video and a 3D one.
