Lucasfilm has confirmed the title of its seventh Star Wars movie, previously referred to as Star Wars Episode VII, as Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Besides unveiling its new movie title via Twitter, Lucasfilm also revealed that they have “completed principal photography” for the highly anticipated movie.
However, it seems that fans have mixed reactions towards the movie title—most of them shared alternative titles with the hashtag #rejectedstarwarstitles.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released in theaters on 18 December 2015.
