For his wife’s first birthday with their new baby, eight-month-old Jacob, Ernst Berlin wanted to celebrate it in an unforgettable way.
After creating an album filled with 40 photographs of his wife and their son, Berlin posted a thread on Reddit Get Drawn and hired 24 artists to help him recreate these portraits in their own style.
What ensued from his two-month project was a series of beautifully illustrated portraits that captured the sweet and tender moments shared between his wife and their son.
Not content with just presenting these new portraits to his wife, Berlin recorded the big reveal on her birthday—interestingly, a Reddit user pointed out that Berlin’s project could end up as an “expensive tradition”.
