Sex Trafficking Awareness Campaign Wants You To ‘Swipe Right’ On Tinder

Cleverly making use of the swiping feature on dating app Tinder, advertising agency eightytwenty rolls out its sex trafficking awareness campaign through the app in Ireland.

Profiles of girls are featured on the app, which will get increasingly stripped of its appeal with each swipe to eventually reveal alarming facts about sex trafficking.

Agency marketing and data director Cathal Gillen wrote, “This is the first use of Tinder in Ireland for a campaign of this nature and one of the first globally. Tinder has become an extremely popular app in Ireland, and it provides us with a unique, innovative and stand out way of communicating to men the issues faced by women involved in sex trafficking.”
